Statues And A Figure

Statues in temple

The statue of human being was also placed

Shot in the old town of Bhaktapur, Nepal.

The stairway of the Hindu temple was flanked by many kinds of statues. There were human being, animal and, probably, imaginary creature. They were guarding the temple from the evil.

In most cases, the human being was placed at the bottom of the stair because the human being ranked low. The statues were considered stronger than the ones immediately below. I thought it was different from the Catholic value. A figure of a man was sitting on the top of the terraces.
