Minaret On The Other Side Of The Gate

Minaret on the other side of gate

The square minaret was seen in the distance

Shot in the city of Fez, Morocco.

The old quarter was still surrounded by the wall. And people came and went through the gates. It might be inconvenient. However, I thought the old atmosphere was preserved in the old quarter for that reason.

Walking the old town, I encountered one of the gates which were made with a horseshoe arch. It was enough big to pass through for elephants. And I saw a square minaret on the other side of the gate.
