Dark Lane In The Old Quarter

Dark lane in old quarter

A long cloth was hung from the window

Shot in the old town of Bhaktapur, Nepal.

The old quarter had many dim alleyways like this. The buildings were made with bricks and the street was brick-paved. I wondered how many bricks were used to build this city. Besides, the lanes were dim narrow even in the daytime because of the buildings. The dimness suited to the historical old town.

At the end of the narrow street, a woman was hanging a long cloth from the window. It might be a saree and she hung to dry.
