I was walking in the center of Laoag. Many cars and tricycles were passing me. In the midst of all this, old-fashioned horse-drawn carriages were still running alongside the cars. In this city, horse-drawn carriages are an active form of transportation, running on the same roads as cars.
I wondered which was more fuel-efficient, the cars that consumed gasoline every time they drove or the horse-drawn carriages that munched on food. In any case, there is no doubt that horse-drawn carriages are much more environmentally friendly. However, I am concerned about the fact that horses spread feces and urine on the streets instead of exhaust gas.
As I walked along, thinking about this, another carriage arrived. A man wearing a hat was riding in the carriage, holding the reins tightly. He looked like he had just stepped out of a western movie.
