Many roses are grown in Shinjuku Gyoen, and you can see a variety of roses when you visit the French-style garden. Whenever you visit, there are always many roses in bloom. The rose in the photograph is one of them. The petals look very soft. Looking at the petals alone, it is hard to believe that there are sharp pricks. The petals and stem seem to be separate plants.
This would be the same in the human world. If you are attracted by the glamour of its appearance and carelessly get too close to it, it can sometimes hurt you. It would be good to have the ability to discern the essence of things without being misled by appearances.
