Palm trees were planted side by side in Rizal Park in Manila. And there were benches parallel to the palm trees. The park seemed to be built in a western style. It is perhaps a bit ironic that the park, named after Jose Rizal, a hero of independence from colonial rule, is also built in the western style of the structure it ruled over.
A woman with a white umbrella was sitting on a bench. She seemed to be lounging on the bench. Looking towards the palm trees, some people were resting in the shade of the underlying tree. The park has become a resting place for the locals and everyone seemed to be taking it easy.
