The village was located by the sea, not far from the center of Malacca. As I walked along the beach, I saw a young couple sitting side by side on the beach. They were silhouetted from behind, and the palm tree standing nearby was also silhouetted. They were not doing anything, but gazing blankly at the Malacca Strait that stretched out before them. The Strait of Malacca is a key point in the maritime traffic that connects the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Many large cargo ships come and go there. The two of them seemed to be thinking about foreign countries as they watched the cargo ships sailing offshore.
This village is said to be a Portuguese village. It is believed that the ancestors of the inhabitants migrated from Portugal hundreds of years ago during the Age of Discovery. It's no wonder that the couple in this photo has the blood of their ancestors who rowed out to sea in search of unknown lands. Despite the calm winds and the calm seaside, it is no wonder that their desire for the unknown was bubbling up inside them.
