The hill called Phou Si was located in the center of the city. I heard it was a vantage point. So I walked up 328 flights of stairs to reach the hilltop. And I found a previous visitor when I finished climbing.
A young monk who wore a Kasaya was standing on the top of the hill and watching the river flowing below his eyes. I wondered what he was thinking while he was watching the cityscape. Maybe the phrase 'the impermanence of all things' went through his head.
