Most of the men playing Thai chess called Makruk here wore a serious face. Of course, some men played cheerfully and some men talked to me when I approached them. Yet the majority failed to make time to talk to a foreign stranger. They were absorbed in playing the game. So I thought they might put money on playing. However, I lacked any conclusive evidence.
The man wearing a striped shirt also played with a serious expression. Like others, he didn't cast an eye on me. And he kept gazing at the board even though I stood just near him. It couldn't be helped if he played his money.
