I came to a small square in the residential area during walking. Some chairs and tables were placed in a corner of it. And some men gathered there. All of them played Thai chess called Makruk. The place was used by a kind of association. I saw many people playing a game outdoors in many countries. Yet the players were male. I thought I had never seen any women playing in such environment. It might be thought as a man's privilege in many countries.
At any rate, the men played cheerfully. Because the number of the pieces on the board was few, the game seemed to reach a final phase. The man in this photo watched the face of his opposition. His face was severe. He could be under increasing pressure.
