Koutoubia Mosque

The minaret was towering

Shot in the city of Marrakesh, Morocco.

The tall architecture in the photo was a minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque. It was the tallest mosque in the city. The name was derived from the Arabic al-Koutoubiyyin, meaning 'librarian', since it used to be surrounded by sellers of manuscripts.
