Why does it rain when the cherry blossoms bloom, even though the blossoms fall quickly? Since cherry blossoms are in bloom only for a short period of time, it seems to me that it should give them a reprieve, but it seems to me that it rains every year during the cherry blossom season. This year was no different. Even though the cherry blossoms were in bloom, the sky was covered with dark clouds and puddles of water were forming underfoot. But things are what they seem. I thought to myself, "I can enjoy the cherry blossoms more comfortably when it rains than when it is sunny, because there are fewer people who go out to see the blossoms." I took this opportunity and headed for the Meguro River Cherry Blossoms Promenade in the pouring rain, umbrella in hand.

In fact, there were not so many people walking along the Meguro River, which would have been full of people on a fine day. I could walk at my own pace and enjoy the flowers. And the best part was that people walking along the river were holding umbrellas thanks to the rain. Looking up, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, while the umbrellas were blooming below. It was a co-starring of natural and artificial flowers. This combination was perfect for taking pictures, and I was so wet from the rain that I didn't care, I just kept snapping the shutter.
