A big hammer and a big sickle were drawn on the wall in the residential area. The combination was a symbol of Communism. I saw same paintings all over the place in Malda. Communist Party seemed to be liked by many people here in West Bengal.
In fact, they took the reins of state government for a period of time. Although the originator was collapsed already, the party was still enjoying predominance here. It might mean the incoherence of the capitalism blew out in this state.
