I came to the mosque called Masjid Jamek. This mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur.
Even in Buddhism, in Hinduism, there is often a guardian presence at the entrance of a temple to protect the sacred precincts. But in Islam, a monotheistic religion, there is no such thing. It should not exist.
Instead, a rugged-looking man stood by the entrance. The man, wearing a taqiyah, was a gatekeeper, but for some reason he had a very stern look on his face. Perhaps it was because he was keeping an eye out to prevent evil from entering the grounds.
