A man in a tank top stood at the entrance of Xinfu Market like a gatekeeper
I stopped at the side of the road and waited for a traffic light. At the end of the pedestrian crossing, the entrance to Xinfu Market was open, and above the entrance was a sign with the name of the market written in Chinese characters. According to the guidebook, this is a traditional market where many delicious foods are sold. I had come here for the same reason.
Because it is mentioned in the guidebook, the market is well known to tourists, but from the looks of it, most of the visitors seem to be locals. The older man on the other side of the road was also dressed in a tank top. He must be a local. The man standing with his hands on his hips seemed to be the gatekeeper of the market.
