Dragon In Chihnan Temple

dragon in Chihnan temple

The dragon was on the edge of the roof

Shot at Chihnan temple in Taipei, Taiwan.

A dragon was on the edge of the roof of the hall. It looked up the sky and seemed to start to fly away as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it was cloudy. And I thought it was not so comfortable to fry around on such day.

The statues of dragon were often placed in Taoist temples in this country. In the Chinese culture, dragon is believed as a water and weather deity. Therefore, the statues were placed on the roofs of the temples.
