The windows of the apartments in Taipei were usually guarded by the iron bars. It made me think that this city was much dangerous than Tokyo where I lived. Thieves might enter into houses if people were not careful.
The window in this photo was also covered. And the laundries were hung on the other side of the bars like other windows. Perhaps, the iron bars were placed not to get stolen the laundries. There might be many lingerie thefts in Taipei.
