After taking pictures of the children studying at the cafe, I came back to the Oak Pho Su Station. Perhaps I could take a train back to central Yangon from here, but I had no intention of doing so. I had simply come to the station.
I stood in front of the station and looked at the station building. Railroad stations are usually interesting places where people come and go, but this one was a bit different. The road in front of the station is not paved but a gravel road, and there is not a single store around the station, despite its favorable location in front of the station. The station stood alone in the middle of a field.
As I was doing so, a young boy appeared out of nowhere. He seemed to be heading somewhere on his own. Even though he noticed my camera, he did not stop. Instead, he stuck out his tongue and looked at me curiously as he passed by me. As he walked away, the area in front of the station was once again engulfed in a deserted atmosphere.
