An older woman was sitting on the side of the road in Pyay, with a shopping basket by her side. She was resting, perhaps tired from shopping. She was puffing on a thick cigar, called a Seboleik in Myanmar, between her fingers. She was resting on the side of the road, having a smoke. When I pointed my camera at her, she responded by sticking out her tongue.
Cigars are as common as cigarettes in Myanmar, and it is common to see people smoking them. The fact that they are cheaper than filtered cigarettes seems to be one of the reasons for their popularity.
