A bird was perching on the electric wire

Bird on wire

There were power lines running along with the approach to Gokoku-Ji Temple. I wondered if it had become separated from its companions. There was a bird perched on the power line.

In any case, the bird was perched right in the middle of the power lines and was in full view of the surroundings. It was so visible that I was worried that the bird might be targeted by natural enemies.

However, it is not uncommon to see birds resting in full view of power lines in Tokyo, not just this bird, so I guess there are no natural enemies that target birds of this size in this area. Perhaps that's why they are able to perch so peacefully.
