Each of the Buddha images sitting on the temple grounds looked in a different direction

The main deity of Gokoku-ji Temple, Nyoirin Kannon Bosatsu, is a hidden Buddha and cannot be seen. However, there are a few Buddha images standing quietly in the precincts of the temple that can be easily seen. The photo shows Jizo Bosatsu standing by the side of the path. Holding a Nyoi-taishu in his left hand and standing calmly with his eyes closed, he seemed to wear a sense of serenity. Behind him, another statue of Buddha was visible.

Unlike the standing Jizo Bosatsu, this one was a seated statue. The two Jizo statues were facing different directions. Although they belong to the same world of Buddhism, when we see them looking away from each other like this, they seem to be somewhat at odds with each other. It is a strange sensation, but I suppose it is only from a human point of view that I feel this way.
