Woman Selling Okra

woman selling okra

This young woman worked in the market

Shot in the city of Murshidabad, India.

I came to the small market. The ground was not paved and muddy because it stopped raining just before. This young woman was sitting on the ground and working there. She wore a saree and a sindoor on her forehead. Besides, a red bindi was seen between her eyebrows.

What she was selling was Okra. A heap of Okras was put in the basket in front of her. The Indian Okra looked bigger than Japanese. When I held my camera, another woman sitting behind directed a malicious look at us.
