A market was held on the banks of the Godavari River that flows through Nasik. There was no building and it seemed to be a street market. The street vendors were displaying their goods on the ground. Busy time seemed to be over and there was an air of relief among workers. The woman in this photo was one of them.
As I stopped in front of the woman and held my camera, the woman in the saree began to look upwards. It was as if she had come up with something interesting. She wore a bindi between her eyebrows, earrings in her ears and a necklace around her neck. She was a stylish woman.
