A woman with piercings in both her nose and ears was working in a market in Pune. Like many others, however, this woman does not have a store. She was sitting on the ground, arranging vegetables for sale on the ground in front of her. In layman's terms, she was selling vegetables in a stall.
When I stopped in front of her, the woman looked at me with narrowed eyes. She seemed to be pondering whether or not I was a shopper, and looked straight at the camera with a puzzled look on her face. As a mere tourist passing by, I caught her gaze with my camera and felt sorry for her.
