A window was built on the wall

There were many old fashioned architectures in this quarter. This house in this photo seemed to be also old. It had Namako wall. And a window was seen on the wall. I heard the design had an effect of the fire protection. Yet I thought if there were any windows, the wall lost its potency. The fire could enter from the window.

Anyway, these houses had a flavor of the tradition. When I watched the design of the wall, I felt as if I got sucked into the maze because the same pattern went on and on.
