Torii Stood In The Dimness

Torii standing in dimness

The Torii stood in the tree shade

Shot at Yoyogi Hachiman-Gu, a Shinto shrine in Yoyogi, Tokyo.

Some Torii, a gateway of the precinct stood along the approach. The Torii in this photo was one of them.

The approach was leafy and dim. Yet the stone Torii made its presence felt in the dimness. And I felt as if I was led straight to the prayer hall. Although there were many stalls by the wayside because a sort of fair was held in the precinct on that day, they didn't come into sight. So I headed to the hall without swinging by the stalls.
