Some Torii, a gateway of the precinct stood along the approach in Yoyogi Hachiman-Gu. The Torii in this photo was one of them.
The approach was leafy and dim. Yet the stone Torii made its presence felt in the dimness. And I felt as if I was led straight to the prayer hall. Although there were many stalls by the wayside because a sort of fair was held in the precinct on that day, they didn't come into sight. So I headed to the hall without swinging by the stalls.
