In Shanghai, a place with several to dozens of houses behind a gate is called a Longtang. Alleys stretch out between the old apartment buildings, and while the atmosphere is very nice, it takes courage to step inside. You can't get in without going through the gate, so outsiders are unsure whether they should go in or not. In most cases, curiosity gets the better of them.
This time, too, I entered a Longtang that I had found while walking. Inside, there were many bicycles parked, and a man was sitting on a chair placed nearby. He was sitting quietly with his legs crossed. The inside of a Longtang does not face the main road. It is also a nice place to relax.
