In the silhouette of the trees, there was a silhouette of a tower. With a height of 53 meters, the tower stands head and shoulders above the surrounding trees. It is Ruiguang Pagoda in Suzhou.
The tower was first built in 247 AD, which is about 1700 years ago. In Japan, this was the era of Empress Jingū's reign, so it's a distant memory. However, when I hear that Sun Quan was the first to build it, which is familiar to Japanese people as one of the characters in "Records of the Three Kingdoms", it makes me feel like it's not that long ago. Yes, this is the city of Suzhou, the former capital of Wu.
