Suzhou's Lingering Garden, which is registered as a World Heritage site, was crowded with many people. This historic garden is a popular tourist spot that attracts many visitors. As I was walking among the buildings in the garden, I heard music coming out of nowhere. As I walked toward the sound, I saw a woman holding a pipa.

The woman in traditional costume matched the atmosphere of the garden. Of course, it was probably a production. The background music seemed unnecessary in the beautiful garden, but that was up to the management. She was playing background music on her pipa as if she were a part of the garden. Even when she noticed that I was holding a camera, she continued to play without changing her expression. It was as if she had forgotten where her heart was. What bothered me a little was that she seemed to be playing in a boring way.
