Suzhou, where the capital of Wu was located during the Spring and Autumn Period, has gardens registered as a World Heritage Site. Nine gardens are registered as Classical Gardens of Suzhou. It is interesting to note that most of these gardens were created by local masters, and have been registered as World Heritage sites because they were created as a personal hobby and have survived through the ages.
As I walked out of the Blue Wave Pavilion, one of Classical Gardens of Suzhou, my eyes met with a man. The man was a taxi driver waiting for a customer in front of the Blue Wave Pavilion, a tourist attraction. When I came out, he asked me if I wanted a ride, but unfortunately I did not become a passenger. I wanted to explore the historic city of Suzhou on my own.
