Crossing the wide Strand Road in Yangon, there was a ferry landing. Because no bridge was spanned over the Yangon river in the downtown, the local people crossed the river by ferry or small wooden boat. I didn't know how they used the two transportation device quite differently. Maybe the prices were different.
Anyway, many local people came to get on the ferry and the place was crowded. Many stalls did business in front of the entrance of the ferry landing. And many pedicabs called Saiq-ka were parked by the wayside. Where the rickshaw men parked their vehicles looked like a taxi stand. Before entering the ferry landing, I approached them. One rickshaw man in the front wore a pith helmet as if was an adventurer. When he noticed me, he grinned at me.
