Where I walked around was a part of the old downtown in Yangon which was consolidated during the British era. Many prestige colonial buildings still stood here. And most of these buildings were used by public authorities and governmental enterprises. However, I didn't see businesspersons and the streets in this area were quiet because it was Sunday.
When I came to a street corner, I found a pedicab driver. His cheeks were painted with Thanaka and he sat on his vehicle. He waited for customers in the deserted street. When he noticed me walking, he said something. So I approached him in spite of no intention of hiring. And I focused on him with my camera. Then, he looked away and looked into the distance. He seemed to be disillusioned when he knew I didn't become his customer.
A tower of the federal government building was seen at the end of the street.
