That Luang is famous for the golden Buddhist temple in Vientiane, and there is a temple of the same name in Luang Prabang. However, they are quite different. While Vientiane's That Luang is a shining golden temple, Luang Prabang's That Luang is a quiet and serene temple with few tourists visiting.
Stepping into the empty main hall, I found it to be dimly lit, with only outside light streaming in through open windows. I looked out the window, which was decorated with Buddha and lotus flowers, and saw a Buddhist monk walking under the strong sunlight.
