The middle-aged man was working in a general store. It was small and non-descriptive. Yet it was necessary to the locals. There were neither supermarkets nor convenience stores. Any large capitals didn't penetrate yet.
His small shop was filled with what he sold, for example toothpaste, biscuits, shampoo, snacks, dry-cell batteries and others. Besides, I could see also some over-the-counter drugs here. He treated various articles for sale in the literature.
