There was a lane called 'KASHIYA YOKOCHO'. It meant 'Alleyway with the confectioners' in English. So some 20 confectioners stood side by side in the lane. I heard there were about 70 shops in the best days about 90 years ago and provide the sweets to Tokyo.
When I walked the lane, I found three girls standing in front of a shop. They were thinking which snacks they should buy. Above them, many masks of animated character were hung. One of them was Kitty.
