Although Bontoc is the capital of the Mountain Province in the northern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines, it is not a large town. It is a rural town with a population of less than 30,000. Walking along the main street, there was nothing but a tranquil atmosphere.
Three boys were sitting close together at the end of such a peaceful main street. They were in the same posture and eating sweets in the same way. They seemed to be getting along well with each other. They must have been hungry at the same time as a result of playing around together.
