After climbing the steep stairway of Ichigaya Kamegaoka Hachiman-Gu, I came to the prayer hall. I stood at its facade. A wooden offertory box was placed and a sacred rope was hung from the eaves.
When I looked straight, I found the door of the prayer hall was open. In most of the cases, it was closed when nobody was in the hall. So the situation was uncommon. A staff with plaited paper streamers was seen inside. Perhaps, it was open to air out. I thought the deities enshrined here needed a breath of fresh air sometimes.
