A Hindu temple with brightly painted exterior walls stood by the road

Hindu temple
Hindu temple found in Kolkata

Wandering through a residential area of Kolkata, I came across a small Hindu temple. The outer walls were painted a bright orange, or rather saffron, color. Three spires reached skyward, and a trident could be seen standing on top of the middle spire. This is the symbol of Shiva. This temple appears to be a temple dedicated to Shiva.

When I stepped inside, it was dimly lit and quiet. No one was there to worship. Instead, a few men were taking a nap. It was hot again today in Kolkata. The dimly lit temple was a good place to linger, and I was sure I would get Shiva's blessing while napping here.
