I met many children in the alley near Yangon Central Station. It was already afternoon, school was out, and the children had returned home and were playing around in the wet alley. Unlike their fathers and mothers, the children are busy playing. Most of the children seemed to have no time to play with me when they saw me walking around with my camera. They glance at me, obviously a stranger, but they don't seem to gather around me.
The same was true of the girl in the photo. As I was walking down the alley, a girl in a horizontally striped T-shirt came walking toward me from the other side. She noticed my presence, but did not react in any particular way. She walked past me as if nothing had happened, occasionally snacking on a snack in her hand. In contrast to the girl, the other girl hiding behind me was very interested in me. She was looking at me mischievously from the side.
