As I was walking down the street, I saw the back entrance to the building. The door was open and the inside was in full view from the outside. I saw a young boy sitting in the middle of it. The boy was holding a bag of snacks firmly in his hand, staring at something with a serious expression on his face, and was taking snack after snack into his mouth.
I don't know what he was looking at so intently, but it was probably a television screen. In the eyes of a child, the images on it may seem more important than anything else. Still, I was surprised at the boy's ability to concentrate. The boy hardly moves his head and just continues to eat his snacks.
I wonder where his mother is. If she saw this scene, she might warn him, “If you keep eating so many snacks, you won't be able to eat your food. Nevertheless, for the boy, snacks and “something” in front of him were all that mattered right now, and he seemed uninterested in the rest of the world.
