Continued along the residential street leading from Da Nyin Gone station and finally reached the end. The road itself was still going on, but it extended into the rice paddies from here, and it seemed unlikely that there would be any more people walking this way. With this in mind, I decided to turn back.
I looked around and saw a small store. It looked like a general store selling snacks and pastries. Several snack bags hung from the roof, and containers were lined up on the counter. A man with a skinhead head was working there. Chairs and tables were lined up in front of the store, and locals were relaxing. A girl sitting in the back seemed to be drinking a cold drink. The people here, including the shopkeeper, were unaware of the stranger's sudden appearance. Time was passing as usual among them.
In such a situation, only the boy sitting on a chair by the wall noticed me. And he was giving me a quizzical look.
