Nevertheless, the people working at Myo Ma Market in Thanlyin are relaxed. They don't seem to be bothered by the fact that there are almost no customers. They seem to spend their day in a relaxed manner. They don't seem to get many foreign tourists here, and they don't seem to have the slightest idea that foreign tourists could be their customers if they play their cards right. I encountered many shopkeepers, but none of them tried to sell me anything. I guess foreign tourists are just strangers to them. This is very different from the Bogyoke Aung San Market in Yangon, which has become a tourist attraction.
The girl in the photo did not have the slightest intention of selling anything to foreign tourists. When she noticed my camera, she leaned back in her chair. She stared straight at me with a surprised expression on her face without saying a word, let alone a sales pitch.
