Walked the sidewalk in the city center, I found many books being displayed by the wayside. It was a bookstall. And the girl in this photo stood beside the books. The stall was run by her father and she helped him. When I focused on her, she was surprised at my SLR camera and stopped moving.
As compared to Japan, there were few bookshops in Kolkata. Yet here was the birthplace of Sir Rabindranath Tagore, a Nobel Prize-winning author. So I thought I should see more bookstores here.
