The Galata Tower stood on the top of the hill and was well seen from the distance. The medieval stone tower was a striking landmark of this city. Yet it took on a different posture when I was about to get close. I couldn't see the tower when I was walking the narrow lanes. After I batted around, the tower peeped between the old buildings.
It was built before Turk took the control of this city. At the time of its building, the city was called Constantinople.
