Everybody Laughs

Wooden statues smiling

The wooden faces seemed happy

Shot at Nagan Folk Village near Suncheon, South Korea.

Some wooden poles stood by the roadside. Every pole took human form. And all of them were laughing with their mouths wide open there. They looked so happy. Watching them, I could forget about the drizzling rain and feel happy like them. I wanted to laugh while I stood beside them.

Although they were guardians for the community, I was worried their enjoyable atmosphere attracted evils also. They might be big enough persons to keep smiling.
