Wooden stick-like objects stood by the roadside in Naganeupseong Folk Village. They are carved with the faces of people smiling with their mouths wide open. They all look very happy. Looking at their innocent smiles, I almost forgot about the light rain that was falling, and it made me want to stand alongside them and laugh as much as they did.
The faces of these trees are a kind of Tutelary deity, but with them looking so happy, I worry that they might be attracted by something evil that should be driven away. Perhaps they is so large that he does not care about such trivial things. What comes is not to be thwarted, and what goes is not to be pursued.
