The Shinjuku station in the morning was full of businessmen. They seemed to be on their way to work, dressed in suits and walking at a brisk pace. No one was walking with a camera. Instead of cameras, they were all carrying business bags.
When I got on the escalator, the people standing in front of me were businessmen in suits. I could see many similar businessmen walking down the escalator as well. While everyone else was wearing a suit, I, alone in plain clothes, felt like I was being left out.
