It became a commute time in the morning. Many businessmen walked the passageway which was deserted only an hour ago. They were heading for their offices. Everybody seemed to be in a hurry. And their footsteps echoed around me. Nobody stopped. They traveled in a straight line.
I wondered by what they were incited. If it was a sense of obligation, it was piteous. If it was a pleasantness, it was also piteous.
