Commuters In West Shinjuku

Commuters waking fast

The commuters were walking fast

Shot in the city of West Shinjuku, Tokyo. It became a commute time in the morning. Many businessmen walked the passageway which was deserted only an hour ago. They were heading for their offices. Everybody seemed to be in a hurry. And their footsteps echoed around me. Nobody stopped. They traveled in a straight line.

I wondered by what they were incited. If it was a sense of obligation, it was piteous. If it was a pleasantness, it was also piteous.
