Elephant And Boy

Stone statue of elephant

The statue of elephant was placed at the entrance

Shot in the old town of Bhaktapur, Nepal.

In the heart of the old quarter, there was There were Nyatapola Temple built in 1702. And its approach was flanked by many statues which guarded the temple. The statue of an elephant was one of them.

Siddha Laxmi, the Hindu goddess of prosperity was enshrined here. She could be rich so much. So she could have a power to bring many guardsmen to heel. When I watched the statue, a boy was about to enter the temple.
