The man showed me his cards
Some men were enjoying playing cards by the wayside. I often saw people playing like them. It was a common way to play a game to kill time here.
When I was watching them, one of them showed me his cards while he smiled. Maybe he got good cards in his hand and seemed to be happy indeed. He might want to tell me that he had a gambling instinct. Yet I couldn't understand how good it was nor what kind of game they played.
