Many small wooden boats were floating on the Buriganga River. They were the means of transportation for the locals to cross this wide river because there were no bridges.
People came to cross in an endless stream. And the boats were setting out from the bank one after another. These boats on the whole seemed to just drift from pillar to post. Amazingly, all the boats were not motorized. So it could be a hard job to be an oarsman.
